Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which of them the PnLTrack service (pnltrack.trade) actually uses and how you can manage them. It is part of the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
In short: there are no advertising trackers. Anonymised analytics (Google Analytics) is on by default — you can switch it off at any time in the cookie settings. Beyond that, the Service stores only what is needed to sign you in, keep your session secure and remember your preferences.
01What are cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They can be session cookies (deleted when the browser closes) or persistent (kept until a set expiry date), and first-party (set by the site itself) or third-party (set by other services).
Similar technologies include the browser storages localStorage and sessionStorage, where a site can keep data on your device. We use them for the same purposes as cookies, so this Policy covers them together.
02Strictly necessary
These records are technically required: without them it is impossible to sign in and use the Service securely. They do not require consent and appear only when you use the corresponding feature (for example, when you sign in).
- pnltrack_refresh (cookie, httpOnly) — the session refresh token; set when you sign in. Duration: up to 30 days with “Remember me”, or until the browser closes.
- pnltrack_access_token (localStorage) — a short-lived API access token; refreshed roughly every 15 minutes.
- pnltrack_me_cache (sessionStorage) — a few-minute cache of your profile data so it is not re-fetched on every page; disappears when the tab closes.
- pnltrack_cookie_consent (localStorage) — the record of your cookie choice. Duration: 12 months, after which we ask again.
- Service flags (localStorage) — for example, a marker that the starter tag set has already been created for your account, or that you dismissed the app-install hint (pnltrack_pwa_prompt).
03Functional
These records remember your choices so we do not have to ask every time. You can switch them off in the — the Service keeps working, but appearance preferences will not persist between visits, and for visitors who are not signed in the language choice will only last for the current session. If you are signed in, the selected language is stored in your account profile as account data (see the Privacy Policy).
- pnltrack_locale (cookie) — the selected interface language (Ukrainian or English). Duration: 12 months.
- pnltrack_dashboard_range, pnltrack_dashboard_widget_sizes*, pnltrack_dashboard_yearly_mode (localStorage) — the selected period, dashboard widget layout, and the monthly-calendar view mode.
- pnltrack_chart_prefs* (localStorage) — chart appearance settings (chart type, candle colours, grid).
- pnltrack_share_day_bg_image (localStorage) — the background you picked for the “Share day” card.
Drawings and annotations you add to trade charts are also stored locally on your device (pnltrack_chart_draw_*). They are your content, required for the feature you are using, so this switch does not affect them; you can remove them by clearing the drawings on the chart or the browser storage.
04Third-party services
Two third-party Google scripts may load in your browser: reCAPTCHA on the contact form page (spam protection; may set Google’s own cookies such as _GRECAPTCHA) and Google Analytics (see the next section; can be switched off in the ). Google processes this data under the Google privacy policy.
There are no other third-party scripts, fonts or widgets: fonts and charts are served from our own domain.
05Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics 4 for anonymised usage statistics: which pages are visited, from which devices, for how long. Analytics is on by default; you can switch it off at any time with the “Analytics” toggle in the — the analytics cookies are then deleted and collection stops.
- _ga, _ga_* (cookies) — Google Analytics identifiers used to tell visitors apart. Duration: up to 13 months. Deleted when analytics is switched off.
Google processes this data under the Google privacy policy. There are no advertising networks, social-media pixels or other trackers.
06How to manage cookies
- You can change your choice for functional records and analytics at any time in the .
- Your choice is stored for 12 months, after which the banner appears again.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies makes signing in impossible.
