Bybit trading journal for futures and spot

Connect Bybit to PnLTrack once and stop copying trades into spreadsheets. A read-only API key is enough: your futures and spot trades sync about every minute and land in the journal as positions with entry and exit prices, PnL and fees — plus funding on futures.

  • Futures
  • Spot
  • API key + secret
  • Read-only access
  • Syncs every ~1 min

What syncs from Bybit

  • Bybit Futures and Spot — one market per connection
  • Long and short positions built from your fills
  • Entry and exit prices and PnL
  • Fees, plus funding on futures positions

How to connect Bybit

On Bybit

  1. Log in to Bybit and open API Management in your account settings.
  2. Create a new system-generated API key and give it a name.
  3. Give the key read-only permissions — no trading, transfers or withdrawals.
  4. Pass the security check, then copy the API key and secret.

In PnLTrack

  1. Create a free PnLTrack account with email or Google — or log in.
  2. Open Settings → API keys and click Add key.
  3. Pick Bybit, then the market: FUTURES or SPOT.
  4. Name the connection, paste the API key and secret key, and click Connect.
  5. Done: trades sync automatically, about every minute.

Is it safe?

PnLTrack uses your Bybit key only to read trade history, balances and market data — never to trade, withdraw or transfer. Keys are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, using a separate encryption key derived for each user. A read-only key is all PnLTrack needs.

Bybit: frequently asked questions

Can I journal both Bybit futures and spot?

Yes. Each connection covers one market, so add your key once with FUTURES and once with SPOT. Every connection counts toward your plan’s exchange limit: 1 on FREE, up to 10 on TRADER.

Which permissions should the Bybit API key have?

Read-only. PnLTrack only reads trade history, balances and market data — it never trades, withdraws or transfers, so there is no reason to grant more.

Are Bybit fees and funding included?

Yes. Every position carries its fees, and futures positions also carry funding. Both are counted separately from the result, so you can see what trading itself costs.

Do I need to keep PnLTrack open for trades to sync?

No. Once the key is connected, sync runs on its own about every minute — new Bybit trades are waiting in the journal the next time you open it.
