OKX trading journal for futures and spot
PnLTrack syncs your OKX futures and spot trades automatically, so the journal fills itself in. You need three things from OKX — the API key, its secret and the passphrase you set for that key — and only the Read permission.
- Futures
- Spot
- API key + secret + passphrase
- Read-only access
- Syncs every ~1 min
What syncs from OKX
- OKX Futures and Spot — one market per connection
- Long and short positions built from your fills
- Entry and exit prices and PnL
- Fees, plus funding on futures positions

How to connect OKX
On OKX
- Log in to OKX, go to your Profile and select API and connections → Create API key.
- Enter a name for the key and tick only the Read permission — not Trade or Withdraw.
- Set a passphrase. You choose it yourself, and OKX can’t show or recover it later, so write it down.
- Confirm with your security codes, then copy the API key and secret key.
In PnLTrack
- Create a free PnLTrack account with email or Google — or log in.
- Open Settings → API keys and click Add key.
- Pick OKX, then the market: FUTURES or SPOT.
- Name the connection, paste the API key, secret key and passphrase, and click Connect.
- Done: trades sync automatically, about every minute.
Is it safe?
PnLTrack uses your OKX key only to read trade history, balances and market data — never to trade, withdraw or transfer. Keys are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, using a separate encryption key derived for each user. A read-only key is all PnLTrack needs.
OKX: frequently asked questions
What is the OKX API passphrase?
A password you create yourself while making the API key — not your OKX login password. OKX stores only a hash of it, so it can’t be shown again or recovered: if you lose it, create a new key. PnLTrack needs it together with the API key and secret.
Which permission should I choose on OKX?
Read. It lets PnLTrack view account data such as your order history. Don’t enable Trade or Withdraw — PnLTrack never trades, withdraws or transfers.
Can I sync both OKX futures and spot?
Yes. Each connection covers one market: add the key once with FUTURES and once with SPOT. Every connection counts toward your plan’s exchange limit (1 on FREE, up to 10 on TRADER).
How quickly do OKX trades show up?
PnLTrack checks for new trades about every minute and groups your fills into long and short positions with entry and exit prices, PnL, fees and funding.
